It's strange the way that happens, I guess a lot of it is perhaps because we don't have any ancient visual aid of how they're 'supposed' to look, unlike (For example) the Egyptians, who painted their deities on the walls, so they made it extremally clear how they pictured their God's.
You've got me really curious now, I wonder why I picture her like that now...hmmm haha!

I thik it's better this way, if you think about it, before the egyptian did it no one did...nd so they had to find a way to express them the way their hearts felt about them....and so it's our work... I think that meditation, awareness and understanding, working together within our hearts lead us to the final image, the way we perceive them and it's really beautiful to see the way other hearts feels about the same deidity

This is so pretty! I personally really suck at watercolors, so whenever I see someone make something this beautiful with them I'm always a little taken aback ^__^. Just makes it doubly awesome to me! The flow of the dress and the movement conveyed with the shading of it kind of reminds me of clouds, like she's coming out of a cloud or something...and the shading on the skin and hair is awesome! I love the choice of red for her hair, its a nice contrast to the blue...

watercolour isn't so easy to use but I suggest you to move forward and use it with a good guide...I think you'll be surprised about the quality you'll achieve in a year...remember: never give up!!
