Hmm there's one which I don't know the name of, which is straight up Doomslayer seen through a demon being mercilessly 'ripped and torn' with bare arms, just like paper, a very in the face art. That's my main inspiration.
Sometimes I think that Doom's design is inherently badass so not even bad proportions and color can destroy the feel. I think that's insanely hard to acheive.
