I met someone who was recently sober and in NA and AA. His eyes were bright and beautiful, and I've rarely seen anyone so passionate about what they do. He was living with me for a month, until he found his own place. Within that time he stole all my money, started using heroin and coke again, and was drinking more whiskey than his body could handle. He broke my heart, and left without a word out one night. I'm not even sure if he's still alive. But this one was for him.Related content

As always, so incredibly deep and beautiful. Thank you for sharing the story behind it. You are a strong person to be able to still remember someone who hurt you that way in any sort of pleasant manner. I hope for his sake that he is still alive and that he gets help, real help before he does kill himself. And I hope for your sake that he does not come to you for help again.
