I wish I could use the second reference picture, it looks so helpful and I draw females all the time (which is weird considering 2/3 of my characters are male XD. I guess I am too nervous about drawing them and failing).

XD i'm the opposite.. I have NO male characters that I draw... cause I SUCK at drawing males. females are like my one and only thing i'm good at. LOL

You must be willing to suck at something before you will ever get better. Try using stock photos of guys?

XD i'm working on it, but in comparison i've been drawing females for 20+ some years. gunna take my guys a while to catch up XD
