Thank you so much for your input! I'm glad you liked it. I agree that the light might have looked better at higher angle. I am pretty new to shooting with flash and studio type lighting as most of the work I have done before has been with available light. I know that I have a lot to learn and plan on experimenting much more in the future. As far as the editing of the nipples go, I did not intend to deflect or bring attention elsewhere but removed them by the models request. In all honesty I would have preferred not to edit them out at all. I am planning on doing more shoots with Anne Mae in some slightly more traditional pinup or retro type outfits/poses. I hope you will take a look at them when I post them. Again, I really appreciate your input!

Awesome! I am a HUGE fan of pinup and I'm very excited to try some shoots myself. I think having her in those types of outfits should give her the opportunity to feel sexy and "let loose" without having the uncomfortably of feeling "exposed". It should be lots of fun for the both of you! I am definitely looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Look for more of Anne Mae sometime in March! Unfortunately I'll be out of town for most of February. I'll definitely let her know you're looking forward to seeing more of her!

I like the editing that done at the model's request. Β It shows you were respectful, and that she was serious about her art.Β

Without context from the rest of the project, must one speculate on the meaning. I can't quite decide whether her gaze is directed at sonething that draws her attention, or whether she is primarily averting her eyes from spectators in front of her. Β The crown of thorns is someone's idea of mocking her, but she seems stoic and dignified nevertheless. The only indication that she might be feeling humiliation is the trickle of running mascara.Β

All that keeps running through my mind is "Where are the missing nipples, and why?"
I don't get it.
The concept is interesting, but that just overpowers any other thoughts about the image.

I removed the nipples by request of the model as the photos were taken for a specific project that was hung at the bar her husband works at. I am a little torn with that part of the photo myself. I think in retrospect I would have rather covered the nipple area with a small strip of cloth across the breasts. I agree that the absence of the nipples actually brings more attention to the area which was not my intention. Thanks for your input.

Yeah, sometimes it works that way, but a strip of cloth would have been a cool idea, if it was wet-plastered to the wind-blown side like sweat. It might have gotten the idea across more strongly, too.
