Description
Somehow, it's rather ideal for Darth Sidious (Emperor Sheev Palpatine) to be selected as the Sa'Luk for this song; Clive Revill, who originally did the voice for the Dark Lord of the Sith in Empire Strikes Back, sung in two TV adaptations of plays by Gilbert and Sullivan: The Sorcerer and The Mikado. And to fill in the role of the Forty Thieves, there can be no better group of ruthless marauders and cutthroats than the Knights of Ren: Cardo, Vicrul, Ushar, Kuruk, Ap'lek and Trudgen.
Unlike Sa'Luk, Sidious is not lying when he says Kylo Ren has betrayed them and emerged once more as Ben Solo. We know what life was like for the Knights before Ben killed and replaced their master, Ren. What we don't know is how exactly Kylo's leadership changed things for them. He certainly wasn't as soft as Cassim, and the Knights followed his command for the seven years leading up to The Rise of Skywalker.
However, the Knights' true loyalty lies with Sidious. And, like the remaining Forty Thieves towards their former King, they are "thrilled" to see Ben again in the final battle on Exegol. They are much stronger than this shell of Kylo Ren, and that is why—in their point of view—his fate is sealed.
I hope you'll all enjoy this, fellow Aladdin and Star Wars fans.
