For most of his years, Gael lived in the small town of Ironridge with his parents and older brother. Like their father, his brother Calli followed the path to become a pokemon trainer and was given his first pokemon, a Charmander, by their parents. When Calli left the family never heard back from him. While it was unheard of for children to lose contact with their family while exploring the world, the total loss of connection for months led the family to worry considering how close Calli was to Gael. Fearing the worst, their parents decided to call the police to see if they could at least give a head's up on their child's location.
A month passed until they finally heard news of Calli's location. Gael would find out the next day from his parents that Calli and his Charmander were found dead in the forest, presumably by a wild pokemon attack. Traumatized by the information, Gael refused to become a trainer even when he reached the acceptable age and against his parent's insistence that he should. His anger at the Pokemon League and it's tradition had him refuse to ever own a pokemon himself for a long time in an effort to refuse what had become commonplace. He realized how harsh the world was, considerably so when the League would allow young trainers to go into the wild with weak starters that were no match for wild pokemon that lived fighting against trainers and other more experienced pokemon. But Gael soon realized change wouldn't come if he remained on the sidelines and let this continue. If he was going to make a change, he'd need to find himself strong pokemon for the safety of others.
He wouldn't stand for it any longer. Inner turmoil plauged Gael's mind until he came to a conclusion after hearing rumors around Ironridge of a secret hideout of people who want to stand against the pokemon league. Hearing that he packed up a bag and left his parent's house, never to get into contact with them again. His parents were part of the problem, and the only way to separate himself from them was to lose contact completely.
This paved way for his journey in Zephyr. He has high faith in the organization and its ability to change the world for the better, and will do everything he can do support them.

- - Singing! Gael often sings or hums while traveling to fill the silence.
- - He also crochets with the balls of yarn he carries in his bag, and gives the finished scarves to his pokemon and even other members of Zephyr.

- Has heterochromia mutation which causes his eyes to take different colors. He has a blue(right) and green(left) eye.
- Prefers dragon, dark and ghost type pokemon, but generally tries to keep a balanced team.
- Always carries small packages of pocky and is constantly eating them.
- He thought the Zephyr uniform was a little silly about it's ability to hide their identity when only their eyes were hidden by the visor, so he chose a helmet and fully clothed outfit to completely hide his identity.
