Description

As if getting through another day wasn't enough, some nights were just as merciless. No matter how tired Ashen might have been physically, his mind just wouldn't leave him alone. It could keep him up all night long, reminding him of all the mistakes - regrets, making him go through his painful memories over and over again. Sometimes they followed him even in his dreams. The nightmares were always the worst. If Ashen got lucky, he could escape from them by forcing himself awake, but luck wasn't on his side tonight either. He had no choice but to spend the night in his personal purgatory until the bright sunrise would put him out of his misery. Though there was no guarantee of the new day and the following night to be any different than the last one...

I felt like drawing something somber, so here's some horse angst! I haven't been drawing anything personal lately, so this was really relaxing! This also turned out more detailed than I originally intended to, but I really like the result, tho I slacked off with the BG and just took a screenshot in SSO and edited the heck out of it
