Sorry this a late response, but I believe in the show it used to be Time Turner (according to the MLP card sets they released) then they changed it to Doctor Whooves, which later turned into Doctor Hooves because Doctor (W)Hooves was just a little too obvious about what it was referring to.

Her original name was Derpy Hooves, but was changed to Ditzy Doo (because that was the original intent of the meaning of the word "derpy"). They no longer call her anything in particular. For her merchandise she is usually referred to as "fan favorite", "best pony", or "muffin" or a picture of a muffin. She doesn't have any relation to the filly Dinky, that is a fanon (fandom creation) that exists, but there is no proof or confirmation of that being real (they don't seem to really establish background pony histories anyways).

Aww that horrible i do not think the doctor would be that heartless, he would more likely go into a lengthy description on the composure of thunder and then touch base on how in fact lightning would be a much more plausible event to be concerned about.
