Adrian Black is the most dangerous man in all Canada, once the former head of the Nox Syndicate he grew his operations all over Nova Scotia and then across the country, from Marine City he garnered much power over the criminal underworld and employed thousands of criminals to man his illegal activities, from drug dealings to human trafficking and black arms dealing. But he would be brought to justice by the police of the MCPD who were able to get him arrested and sentenced to life in prison. Ten years later Adrian bore witness to the Violet Event and found a shard the emitted a violet energy, exposed to it he manifested the power to manipulate shadow and become empowered by it, which he used to escape. Seeking to rebuild his empire Adrian gathered his supporters and Altered Human allies and began to rebuild his criminal operations, only the Wonder and the MCPD stood in his way but even that would not stop him from restoring his hold in Marine City. Now he is once more a player in the Marine Underworld and now goes by the name Mr Night, the Shadow Crime Lord.
