That's one ride I would rather have that a car, ever. Eco-friendly, friendly to me (I hope), and certainly more attractive to me than a car.

It's certainly a green mode of transport.

You're welcome to do that. I might do an oil painting on a similar theme. I'm in the mood to do something romanitc and fantastical after revisiting the Waterhouse exhibition (not that he did any centaurs). The relationship could be more problematic. Not as tricky as the mermaid problem, or what to do with a bird-bodied siren!

I was a bit inspired by the centaurs created by Weta Workshops for the Narnia films. Quite like the idea of the slightly horsie faces.

This is really nice! It'd be really nice, I think, if you show her other hand on the centaur's shoulder. It's not a big deal, but I think it'd add a little more to it. Just an idea. I like the overall feel to it. Good job!~Jenn

I thought about that and it featured in the initial sketch, but seemed too toughie feelie. Just holding one hand seems more decorous.

Tell me, you seem to have a penchant for the damnsel in distress theme, particularly when it involves the "immaculate female" type C:
Also this one reminds me of "Athena and Centaur" alot. He's got the same pose and expression. Was that a conscious refference, or just coincidence?

If you mean the Botticelli, it wasn't consciously referenced. I'd forgotten about that painting until just now when I looked it up. I don't see it as that similar. She's not dwarfing him, and isn't carrying a huge axe.

Not so practical if it should lead to a love affair but who cares, great pencil art!

I would usually try to offer some constructive criticism, but I just can't find anything in this that could be improved. I'm glad you left this as a sketch rather than colouring it, I think you would have lost the delicacy of the piece.
