Description
design for a gothic church facade. Only drew some of this, and then mirrored or copied bits in photoshop to save having to draw identical details or symetrical features over again.Related content

Hey I draw like that too! Execpt I use my Eyes, and nothing related to Computers. I only use an Overhead projector to inlarge my image on a big paper.

Thanks. It's just a drawing, pen on card, but with only half the central part done traditionally, and with various features mirrored/duplicated digitally.

Excellent work my friend, it's a pity that this sort of architecture is not used anymore, or just barely. But that's because the cost of such an project will be immense. Look at the Familia Sagrada, even though it solely depends on donations, it's taking rather long to complete. Just my two cents.

Yes, it is a pity. People aren't any poorer on the whole now than they were in the 1200s or the 1800s, and we are ebdowed with vastly superior technology. The difference is that now, as I was reading earlier, we build 'Modernist' (I hate that term >_< ) churches that are so ugly that nobody wants to get married in them!

I dont mind the movement of modernist's that much, but there supposed to be a limit on the idea of modernizing architecture. Some modernists are like a cult, lol, and that disturbs me. Otherwise some "modern" buildings could be quite pleasing, but i only take it as eye-candy.

Thanks. If I'd have lived 800 years ago (or 150 years ago during the Gothic Revial) I might have made an architect. As it is I rather dislike nearly everything that has been built since the 1930s.
