Happy Halloween and Happy Nightmare Night, everyone!

For tonight, Pinkie Pie on her typical trick-or-treating routine, decides to wear a Yoshi costume taken from my artwork from last year here. -> www.deviantart.com/dashyoshi/a…

She decides to head to a creepy, mysterious old mansion, lit solely by the moonlight, a bonfire, and various lamps on the property. The mansion is three stories tall with leaf-less trees looming overhead, casting dark, eerie shadows, with the foyer and several rooms being the only lights indoors.

This artwork render took me about 15 hours, 50 minutes, and 37.93 seconds to render on an eight-core CPU at 2048 samples with the default denoiser on Blender 2.80. The render contains 924,064 vertices, 1,122,480 faces, 300,000 strands for the mane, 300,000 grass strands, and an HDR map of Ghostly Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy (aka "PhantomSky"). The mansion and front lawn was created by me but originally designed using the mansion in Mario Party 8's 34th minigame "Boo-ting Gallery". The pumpkins were sculpted in Blender using my drawing tablet. Tree models were created in the tree generating program "Arbaro".

The pony base models used were created or modified by: kp-shadowsquirrel, poninnahka, juicedane, aeridiccore. Shader materials and hair particles were done by me afterwards for use in Blender's Eevee and Cycles engines.

All textures used in this artwork are from Mario Party 8, Super Mario Galaxy, textures.com (formerly CGTextures), Poliigon, HDRI Haven, included with each pony model, or handmade by me using procedural textures.

Pinkie Pie is created by Lauren Faust and owned by Hasbro Inc. for use in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Yoshi is created and owned by Nintendo for the Super Mario franchise.
