Upon first glance, I swore I saw a portrait of Lana Del Ray. I don't know if that's who you used as a model to do this retro style, but good work! :3

I have really been trying to work on improving my techniques in drawing hair. I like what you have done here, can you give me any pointers to get me started in the right direction? Thank you for any help you can give me.

I may take into consideration doing a hair tutorial some day.
It's actually not that big deal. The first thing is drawing the outlines of the hair, using soft lines to delimitate every strand of it. Then draw the darkest parts, folowing the curves of the hair. See where the highlights are and draw lots of grey lines from the darkest to the brightest parts. The more you play with these shades of gray, the better the hair will look.

It's ok, I know what you mean. Actually, I'm not sure myself if this is finished or not. It was meant to be like this from the start, but, the way the hair turned out, makes me wanna go on and draw the rest of it. I'll see...
