May I ask what the advantages of using ponyscape are over say normal inkscape?

For me that's Powerstrokes and Elipse-by-5-points. Although both of these will be available in the next Inkscape release, whenever it comes out. There's also a very great object manager in Ponyscape (and future Inkscape), but I'm not using that one myself.
