Nice work. I'm impressed by how well you do on the details, especially since Illustrator isn't my strong suit. The rosiness of her cheeks really stand out but they don't draw too much attention from her other features.

Illustrator is just one of those things where you have to constantly practice at least a couple times a week. I admit, I'm no where near as good as the pros, but I feel like I'm getting closer.
I will say though, it is a lot easier to do vexel in photoshop. The pen tool doesn't work quite as well, but you are within a program you like.

Swings are awesome. I remember my favorite thing is the feeling of flying. I think I miss that the most.

I remember being so scared of swings it took me most of third grade to get any progress out of pumping my legs. But now i swing any chance i get.

Hahaha. I was the same. I was scared of swings, and wouldn't use them unless my mom would push me. Now I can swing by myself, but what's the fun in that? So I go with friends. I like to swing at sunset. I don't have to fight little kids for the swings as much.

I haven't tried that yet! My friends are so boring. They never want to leave the house after midnight. But that's when the most interesting things happen! One day, I should try to con them into going.
Lol, I don't feel guilty fighting a kid over a swing. Most of the kids in my neighborhood are so rude and bratty. It's like they don't deserve to swing. I just don't like getting dirty looks from their parents. So I wait til sunset, because most kids are heading home then.

lol, I can't say that I've done that at a random apartment. I've done it at an apartment I used to live at. I can say that I've gone to the beach after midnight. I think that's the best time to go. There are no crowds, no kids. Hell, there's barely anyone else out there. It's a great time to chill with friends. Also, the restaurants are pretty happy to see you, because it's pretty dead after midnight.
