I had to make a self-portrait for a scholarship. That and, I'm still trying to create my own senior portrait. Plz compare this to the next one: [link] and tell me which one you would choose if you were me, because everyone I showed it to likes the other one, but... Personally, I like this one better. I like both! The thing is this one is a little more "personal" and you're with your camera. However, technically and artistically the other one seems to stand out a little more. The texture of the couch is captured superbly, the look in your eyes is soulful and the compsure of light is great. Completely your call, depends what you are gong for!

the decision isn't easy. what would you like to show ... your person as a photographer!? take this one.
Or you, being a just a girl? take the other one ...
In my eyes, this looks a bit better. don't know why. maybe cause you're eyecatching in this, your surrounding is rather light, (white wall, light grey sofa) and your hair and your jacket are dark ... so you stand out ... (maybe the window-thing on the left could be cropped?!)
