Now updated and revised; the picture is much better I think, using several new techniques that I learned since I made the original, such as depth of field and Ambient Occlusion. Still need to make that darned skirt better...

This is what I've been working on for the past few months, and I think it turned out quite well. The background isn't exactly... how should I put it... beautiful, but I think it's good enough for now. I was planning on something a bit more grand... but it would require me to model most of the Monk Temple from Jak3, and that would have taken too long.
This model has been done since the Fifteenth, but I was making a scene so that's what was delaying the model.
But now, here it is, complete! Oh wait, no, it's not complete, I forgot to put the band on the left hand, so it's missing for this render.
If you want to take in it's FULL GLORY then you'll FULL VIEW, trust me when I say, it's worth it! There's a lot of detal.... lovingly put in by me, that you'll be missing otherwise.

But I can say that I do love the amount of detail work you put into this. Seems looks EXACTLY like the original character model in the game. You're very skilled...

Hopefully you could add a HELUVA lot more details to it. they seem unfinished, but there oh-so good. I'd never be able to render something like that. I stick to 2D....

Well; yeah... sorta. I bought a student license of 3ds max; it lasts for a year, and you still have to pay roughly $150-250 dollars to get it, depending of course on where you get it and what extras come with it.
There's a free 30 day trial of 3ds max available, and then there's also it's free (And less capable) cousin, Gmax. Gmax has a bunch of features cut out, but the base is still there.

Not really, it depends on what they want... Characters take a long time for me, so I probably wouldn't take one as a commission. But, it also depends on the character.
