okay so it's kinda hard to explain...
imagine a scalemate in 3D, or at least a pattern. i cheat with mine.. i make the end of the snout, the bottom of the head (the chin), the belly and the bottom all one color, then the rest of the body another like a more realistic lizard XD plus it's easier than cutting out a little belly and trying to get it on right lol
okay so.. the cloth i use is kinda not traditional either. there is nothing traditional abou tmy scalemates XDDDD
the main body is made up of black clothe that has scratchy patterns on it, peace flowers, roses, etc, in shiny silver, violet and a lighter pruple. the undersides are a pale purplepink with a similar pattern in shiny silver, violet and black (pretty sure those two clothes go together lol they're awesome). then i mixed things up; the right half of the face, the left half of the body and the left leg are all violet and black striped clothe XDDD
then uhm
i started adding the details
like a skirt. it's a layered ruffled skirt (which was what was killing me) where the bottom layer is a messy aqua blue pattern, the middle layer is a messy green pattern, the top layer is a messy violet pattern and a black, non-ruffled layer on the very top (which i'm working on atm)
then uhm
i'm going to add a black feather boa
a necklace/anklette with blue and green shiny beads
i'm going to try and make a little pair of felt hipster glasses
and get this
a mohawk
that is shiny silver on one side and.. probably black on the other. i'm still not sure XDD
but it's like
