Bio

Edward is one of the top class students at Sodor Community College, often acing whetever academic subject is thrown at him. He was one of the first students at SCC to arrive on Sodor when his family moved from Lancaster when he was just five years old, and thus he has a much deeper love for the island than most others.

Edward is kind hearted and always keen to help a friend in need, with many of the youth of Sodor seeking his advice and support. However, due to his somewhat scrawny built and general goody-goody demeanor (plus the briefcase), he is often the subject of teasing from his friends; particularly likes of Henry Stanier, Gordon Gresley and James Hughes, something he eventually learned to live with, even developing a witty and snarky side to better balance out the camaraderie.

Sadly, while Edward may excel inside the classroom, physically he struggles to even lift his own body weight, which unfortunately made him a prime target for the bullies of the school, especially Diesel Horwich and the Hilton brothers, 'Arry and Bert. Thankfully, his friends are always there to back him up. During his early years of Primary School, the constant bullying made Edward quite insecure about himself and feel extremely vulnerable whenever he's alone, but the others helped him through his troubles and by Secondary he was back to his old lovable self.

Smart and easy to make friends with, Edward is hard worker and does his best to overcome whatever life throws his way. The others may try to be Responsible, Reliable and Really Useful, but Edward invented that phrase.
