Description Dale Chihuly created these for the St. Louis Botanical Garden. They're just floating in a black pond. Really amazing stuff and a great artist.

Yeah, 2nd one for the day. Figured I should just put them up when I have a chance.

Reminds me f the tradition people do in Japan when they lit little candles and places the candles in little bags or something and let them float down a river. I forgot what it was called but thats what this photograph reminded me of!

Whoa, is that bokeh I see, Dave? Not used to that in your Gallery! But, as is your usual, it's brilliantly done. Nice.

This shot is lovely, it's so crystal clear and the composition is great. The black pond makes it look like they are floating in empty space, which makes it even cooler.

I know they're supposed to be onions, but I always think of christmas ornaments when I see them.

I live in St. Louis and I am always amazed by how many people shot the floating glass. It's so recognizable for St. Louisians, too. I saw this and knew where and what it was immediately. XD

Lovely shot.
