Description
A quick painting which I made while on holiday in West Wales. The coast in Pembrokeshire is a very special place and we had wonderful walks. The isle of Skomer is in the distance.Neopastels on sketchbook cartridge paper, just under 7x5 inches.

From the distance the cliff looks great! You really get the essence of scrubby bushes!

When I am looking at the painting I am drawn into the center where the water is lapping against the far off rocks , it is so soothing and peaceful then my eyes wander around the painting and settle on the dangerous jagged rocks at the front.
Bravo Dave..... Very effective use of grabbing the viewers attention you are getting so good at this. Showing conflicting emotions in your paintings ( double meanings) not a lot of artists can do that. Instant fav for me.
