I think that was more for plot convenience. People kept wanting to know about the incident behind Naruto's birth and the giving birth, loosening seal thing was pulled from his ass at the last moment before a deadline.

The only problem with that is, when a host dies, the tailed beast dies with them so he would have to come up with an even more complicated plot about how his mom died while giving birth and the seal being broken and the fox being released before being sealed into Naruto. Honestly I kinda liked it better when it was vague. Letting people make assumptions about plot devices is better than trying to fill them in. Its the reason why shows like DBZ are so well liked because the plot isn't so overly complicated that it causes fandom wars and causes people to bitch, whine and complain about aspects of the manga/anime

Even before that, why make Kurama under someone else's control in the first place? Why not make him attack Konoha on his own?

And hey, don't forget One Piece; Oda puts a lot of thought into it as well...and none of it screams ass-pull.

Its to make the series more dramatic I suppose. Nothing really wrong with it since it does answer some questions, as long as the plot information doesn't create plot holes, altho Naruto is in the process of making one now with the current Kurama and his powers

The think that is getting to me is how, all the previous hokage were sealed within the Reaper Death Seal. When Orochimaru undid the seal, everything from all the souls and his arms were released from the Reaper Death onto the living world. Correct me if I'm wrong but when Minato sealed himself into the Reaper Death, he sealed the Yin (evil) half of Kurama into the seal along with himself. With the Seal being undone now and everything inside its stomach now being released, I get the feeling that masashi kishimoto is going to completely overlook this fact and do nothing with the second half of Kurama's power, creating this huge plot hole in the story. I bet anything on that.

No, he hasn't forgotten. In the latest chapter, Minato uses his half of Kurama's chakra to do his own SuperKyuubiEpicMode form. Here's hoping he gives it all back to Kurama when he's done with it.

I just find it aggravating that even after all the bullshit Sasuke has done, she still seems to love him.
