TCC = Tetsuko Cosplay CalendarBrowsing the Web the other day, and came across an article/review of the 2011 DVD/Blu-Ray release of the 1980 Roger Corman "classic" Battle Beyond the Stars.
Which brought back a reminder that Sybil Danning was in this movie, playing the "Space Valkyrie" Saint-Exmin, in a skimpy outfit.
'Nuff said!
(I've never seen the movie, but that will change soon, because I ordered and received the DVD from Amazon.com, along with another slice of sci-fi cheese, Starcrash. Hmm, maybe I should have Tetsuko cosplay "Stella Star" for July?)

Great blend of sci-fi action and humour. Luckily I first saw it at the theatre so no blurring out of any part of the awesome Ms. Danning.

"Ah, one of the better offerings from the 'King of the Killer Bs'. If you're one of the types that looks for a profound meaning in this film, you are going to be very disappointed. But if you just want to kick back and have a 90 minute roller coaster ride, with some outrageous overacting by the film's stars, this will do very nicely."

I just recently saw this movie on the Epix Drive-In channel. Pretty good movie and Sybil Danning as Saint-Exmin was a sweet sight.

Great choice! The movie is tremendously fun, and Sybil is great in it. I think you'll enjoy it.
The first time I saw the movie was on network tv...in a lot of scenes, they blurred out Saint-Exmin from the neck down because her outfits were so skimpy!
