I live in Quito, Ecuador. There has been a series of fires that have been started by a bunch of pyros. I went on a field trip with my classmates and we found this.It should be noted that this particular area was the home of a certain race of eagles that are on the brink of extinction. And this area is above a town, so when winter comes there will be, most likely than not, extreme floods, since there are not enough trees to stop the water. so because of those pieces of crap life gets much harder not only for animals, but also for people.
This is a setback that will take about 15 to 20 years to recover from.

Definetely, this is serious stuff.
My school is going to have us take a hand in this to help, but the amount of manpower we have is pitiful in comparison to what we could have if people cared about this at all.
