A beautiful sight of a medieval city. Very crowded with structures with a small river/canal. The perspective is interesting and the slight distortion on the structures is a breath of fresh air to the usual environment concept art styles. (This may or may have not been intentional; nonetheless its a great thing to see).
The architecture mostly draws inspiration from the gaming industry. If you could compare this to something it would probably be Sam Diddier's original concept for the city of Stormwind.
The first plane with the rooftop and tower is well executed; the technique is special and that's awesome. However, it feels a little bit inconsistent throughout the whole piece and it would have been great if that style was continued for the rest of the painting as everything else was done with basic color blocking and some shading with a different color saturation.
There is a lack of shadows where some should be present, and on some areas we can see excessive highlights. It feels like there is a lack of a vanishing point as some things are easy to see thus being very far away from the viewpoint. The composition is a bit clumped with structures, (which was the artists intention) but hey that's what makes it unique and great.
Overall a very worthwhile piece which will lead the artist to many more great paintings!

Reminds me of Stormwind from WoW especially with those color coded roofs
