Description
One of the darkest foes Equestria has ever seen, the umbrum tyrant conquered the Crystal Empire over a thousand years before the rediscovery of the Elements of Harmony, and he cursed the land into obscurity before his defeat by Princesses Celestia and Luna. He is not well understood in the show and his past is shrouded in mystery, but the Fiendship is Magic comic and the Siege of the Crystal Empire arc give more definite character development and background for him, including the true nature of what he is and his tragic childhood. In the end, he no longer wanted to be the villain upon being realized that his power was only being used by his own people, and saves the Crystal Empire from a second enslavement by the shadow ponies. His current whereabouts are unknown.
