Description this is a portrait of on of my friends. its going to be here birhtday present! hope she likes it..

info:

size: A4 on bristol board
2H mechanical pencil. kneaded erasers..

..first drawing with my new electric eraser!! does it show?..haha...


edit: went over the black of the eyes a bit more. looks much better.

yes, this was when I was still learning about drawing. as you can tell I Hadn't quite mastered hair..

Excellent work. Shading overall in the drawing is really good. The way you can make that hair so detailed is really enviable. Eyes look so realistic too.

Damn. I've looked at Pat McMichael's drawings, and the texture looks similar. Here I was thinking he was just a god. Does bristol board really make a difference? I've mostly worked with plain sketchbooks from the local Wal*Mart.

But still, amazing job. Would have to be, to catch my eye in this guy's ocean of Favorites.

thankyou for your kind comments, yeah i find bristol board really does help. its much denser, and allows for smoother blending. only trouble is the expense :/

just gotta make sure you dont muck up a drawing on it!
