Description Sigh...once I had drawn Alex, her twin sister Liz prompty sent me a photo, so to prevent any family conflicts I drew her too!

Same size as Alex, 6x4 inches (roughly same size as you see the picture here), so I kept it small as the reference photo was from Facebook and was not great on the detail front! Done with graphite pencils, 2H-4B. I didn't use too dark a pencil here, as the reference was pretty washed out hehe. Played the contrast a bit safer instead of guessing

Took about an hour longer at 6 hours total (I foolishly let her pick the photo this time and it was more complicated! )

Thanks very much  I'm not sure how it happened in honesty, but the first four or five pictures saw the biggest improvement from Megan Fox to the beautiful graphite one and beyond.  I think you have to go into it and think 'I'm going to do something different on this next one' and each time try and improve one area.  So making the hair better, getting the proportions more accurate or improving how you shade the picture.  I took a lot of advice from people on here and looked at quite a few of the tutorials that are on this site showing how people build up the image.  Like everything it does take a lot of patience, so don't be afraid to go away and come back to a picture.  Legolas took me a week to do with about 4 to 5 hours a day... I was unemployed at the time, which helped my art lol, so I put a lot of time into it, but do an hour, take a break, do some more.  Don't settle for second best hehe, or you hate yourself afterwards

No matter how, the essential is that improvement arrives !!! That's right, your "Beautiful Graphite" is really wonderful ! Work always pay, that's gratifying 

I try to take time each evening to draw and what helps me lot is that fortunately there is strictly NOTHING on the TV in France !!

Yeh both have Light brown hair, but Alex had dyed it black...and I think Liz had gone blonde at that time hehe They try and look different it seems at the moment

Heh no idea what I'd like to do, but I was a trainer, coach and assessor for the postal industry Did some management training and all sorts

Oh my, that sounds quite...serious Well good luck with finding a job, you should think about what you want to do if you are not sure yet, although if you loved doing your job before, I think you should give it another shot, giving your name in application everywhere, and things like that...

I'm a bit older and slightly more realistic in my goals hehe I'm not in any desperate financial trouble...I have my health and my family...there are many people with things to be really sad about, so I can't complain
