Wow, this is very interesting! I love the concept behind the photo, and how natural she looks.

I like that this is a fetish picture with a concept behind it. That gets lost so often in the wider world of the web and misunderstanding. The symbolism in this piece is astounding. From the shadow of links to her obvious obliviousness to her physical freedom. A fantastic piece of fetish art.

The theme of objectification is subtle and potent. Solid.

Thank you!
(I suppose some would argue that objectification in itself cannot be subtle)

I noticed that, too. I thought it was a trick of the light, but I can't figure out what arrangement of light sources can create that sort of shadow without lighting up the whole scene.
Very strange.

This one is quite stunning and masterful too. It is very different from your other photos even if all of your photos have a symbolic charge. This one is almost perfect (I'll say later why "almost") because the style and the content converge so well.
About the content, I love this idea of this blinded woman who cannot but ignore the emptiness around her. The blank walls, the empty bookshelves (waiting to be filled or have they been emptied ?)... She is oblivious of the ray of sun - a door toward freedom - in front of her although she is free to go : the chain around her neck is tied to nothing meaning freedom is only in her mind (I love the shadow of the chain links on her neck, enhancing the idea of a virtual captivity - or a virtual freedom).
About the style, it is really a perfect composition ! The diagonals of the bookshelf, of the slabs, of the wall, converge to the woman, leading the eye to her. Her head is not turned toward the sunning opening, it is turned toward to the viewer although she can't him (or can she ?) and it is the final touch of this photo which makes my heart beats faster.
David Samson, thanks for the emotion, once more.
ps : I said almost perfect, the almost is only about the high lights on the floor and her left leg which are a bit too high on my screen (but may be it is my screen) and it is a really tiny defect on one of your most original and thought provoking photos.

I should add too that the bookshelves look like the bars of a cage, it was so obvious that I almost did not see it !!! Does it mean that consciousness, knowledge are the jail of the mind or - il you fill the booksheves with books - does it mean the contrary ?
