Happy New Year, all. I thought I'd post one of the last things I drew in 2008 to prove I'm still alive. There seems to be a growing cult following out there that likes to see sketchy lineart and the base lines of detailed pencil work, so this is a contribution for those folks as well.Here's a quick sketch -- my version of Slashfang as he'll appear in the Primal Rage serial I'm doing. Unlike what was intended for the game, my Slashy has an extra set of arms. If you know what a banth is, then you have an idea of where I came up with the concept. Seemed fitting for the God of Combat.

You have the best design for him- all those comparisons between MK and PR, your Slashfang could (have) be(en) the Goro of the group. Squeeees all around! ^.^

Keeping the right top arm up was good cause if you didn't it would look like he's waving. Unless that what's you're going for, lol. I like his facial design, it looks absolutely ruthless.

Nice design! The body and musculature is so similar to a character I have worked on in the past. I like the way the legs work, and he even looks right standing upright!

THis is a very nice piece of sketched work still in development. What is presented through the finer means of pencil is very strong and has greatly shown the wonderful skills you posses to allow such ambition and vitality to come forth in your characters. The way you have also posed the anatomy (arms, torso etc) is extremely well approached and has allows us to see you wonderful knowledge of what to bring forth to present energy and the strength to make it happen.
