Description
Molting Feathers still under construction, everyone.
Whooo boy, did this guy need a redesign. At the very least he needed an updated art reference. I'm NOT happy with how the old one looks.
I redid his design a bit to exaggerate his signature features that make him standout from the other characters in his clan. Namely, his wild and spiky fur and his half remaining tail. Wildheart also gets better "hair" that kinda makes him look like an anime/manga protagonist (not too far from the truth!). While he IS a protagonist in Molting Feathers, he's not really a great person (at least for the first half of the story). But I'll let his bio that I copy-pasted from the original ref speak about that.

Dislikes: Cold weather and snow, rain and thunderstorms, cats from other clans, being wrong or corrected, jokes and pranks,
Personality notes: Wildheart is a cat who was given everything in life and is a beloved member of WindClan. He has naturally good looks, keen intelligence and quick learning ability, praise for all his work and skills and several chances at leadership and mentorship roles. He is a highly respected warrior (for his hunting and fighting skills) in and out of WindClan and he knows it. He’s proud of his skill, himself and his work and loves every moment of serving WindClan. He’s great friends with WindClan’s leader and often co-leads the clan with him. She cats in WindClan tend to vie for his attention and he secretly loves their desperate attempts to get with him. Since he doesn’t like the other clans, Wildheart can be cold or confrontational with them even if they have good intentions. Within WindClan, however, he can be a friendly and warm cat to those he likes and loyally sticks with them until the very end. Since he grew up always getting what he wanted, Wildheart has an entitled attitude and can be pushy when he doesn’t get what he wants and typically doesn’t understand why he can’t have certain things or do certain activities due to his very privileged upbringing. When he does admit and realize that he is wrong/not right or realizes that he cannot have/do something, Wildheart takes it to heart and internalizes it. He’s hard on himself when he gets something wrong or does something wrong as a result of not having many opportunities for failure in his early life. He tends to shout down those who have differing ideas and tends to believe that his way is the right way and won’t stop until he converts others to his way. Many cats from other clans think he is an arrogant and confrontational tom however, and his reputation among the other clans somewhat suffers (which he ignores) and he is commonly associated with border fights and accusations.
Relationship notes: Wildheart is close with his family. He and his brother are best friends and tell each other almost everything. They support each other loyally and always rely on each other to be a constant in their lives. Wildheart is generally on good terms with most of WindClan and he has a decent list of friends and supporters in WindClan and strives to upkeep his good relationships with them. Wildheart sort of has a tendency to string along she cats who may think he wants to pursue them romantically but he is actually just enjoying their mooning attention. He has a large attraction to Meadowfrost, who does not return his affections and is relatively convinced that she’s the one he’s meant to be with despite them not having any chemistry. He keeps pursuing cats who don’t like him as much in the hopes that he will one day win them over (even in platonic/nonromantic situations) and doesn’t understand how/why he can’t make everyone like him when a majority of WindClan likes him. He works constantly to convince Featherbreeze/Feathershine that he is the right cat to succeed Thistlestar. Since Wildheart doesn’t like the outsiders, he has virtually no friends in the other clans and many warriors at Gatherings seek to avoid him. As a result, some unnecessary conflicts may ensue. Wildheart is very good friends with his mentor/leader and often receives praise from him. Wildheart returns this notion by supporting his leader as much as he can and by acting as a confident and shoulder to lean on. The leader’s genuine approval also serve to increase his overall reputation among WindClan.
