Chaw: Dark (I know it doesn't look like it, but I realized this after I started coloring, sorry)

Home #: None, she usually charms random cats into let her stay for the night (Valentine's a technically hobo X3)

Talents:

- Valentine has as an extremely vivid and wild imagination, which is useful for her job as a storyteller. She often gets lost within her within her own tales.

- Valentine practices her Illusion Spell frequently so when she tells a story, she can use it to illustrate and temporarily transport her audience within them.

- Valentine occasionally steals things, just enough to keep herself from starving. She tries to never take more than she needs.

Charming- Valentine has a "silver tongue" and often uses it to her advantage. She is extremely persuasive and always tries talk her way out of problems before resorting to other methods.

Flirtatious- Valentine is generally provacative and utilizes her feminine charm to the utmost ability. She likes attention, male attention specifically, and will flirt with any tom that catches her fancy. However, she is very selective so some cats she just ignores.

Romantic- This is a more secret side of Valentine. She is constantly developing crushes on various cats, and having her heart broken when it doesn't work out. She wants to find someone who would love her back.

Reserved- Valentine tends to slightly hold herself back when meeting new people. Not that she's anti-social, she just tends to be slightly aloof. However, this changes when she really gets to know someone. Then she just becomes annoyingly social.

Awkward- When Valentine is caught off guard or suprised, she loses her ability to sweet talk her way out of situation. She starts to say "Ummm..." alot, and afterwards, she's usally furious for being an idiot. She also tends to say really inappropriate things at the worst times.

History:

Parents:
Chime was a beautiful albino somali who danced in the streets, using ribbons to entrance her viewers. One day she had earned enough shillings to purchase a proper meal at a nearby tavern. When she entered the building, a hunter who was resting saw her and fell in love at first sight. He promptly got up and in an attempt to talk to her, tripped and fell at her feet. Chime helped him up, and they began to talk. She learned that his name was Auran and he told her stories about hunting. They quickly became close friends, and Auran frequently brought her gifts, including a lovely red ribbon. However, one day Chime asked Auran for help to woo a Legionary Soldier. Auran was heart-broken, but helped her anyway. Chime was brutually rejected, the soldier saying that she was lower-class streeth filth, and she ran back to Auran. He comforted her and told her that he loved her, but she said she didn't. After Chime was rejected again and again, she realized that Auran was the only one who truly cared, and finally fell in love with him.

Kithood:
Valentine had a happy enough childhood, until her mother died unexpectedly due to illness. Her father was devastated and grieved for the rest of his life. He continued to make sure that Valentine was properly taken care of, until she grew more and more adventurous and harder to watch over. That combined with the fact she looked nothing like him, for was a dirty grey color with a brown muzzle, paws, and tail. Auran began to think that Chime had cheated on him and couldn't stand the sight of Valentine afterwards. He eventually just left one day, leaving her with her mother's ribbon. Valentine was devastated and only managed to survive because a traveling bard took her under her wing. It was from the she-cat, Evara, that Valentine learned the skill of persuasion and story-crafting. Evara loved having an apprentice and became gradually adopted Valentine as her own kitten.

Teenager-hood:
Now, being homeless, Valentine had to find a stay alive. She soon found simply asking for somewhere to sleep usually ended up with being shooed away. This was partially because during this time, Valentine was going through an awkward teenage phase her fur was beginning to lighten to it's current color. However, this caused her to have splotchy multi-colored fur and look extremely disorganized and scruffy. As a result, she had to resort to pickpocketing schillings from random cats in the market. She had an idea one day and found a witch to secretly teach her some magic. With her new found skill, although rather lame, she started to tell stories for money. Combining her silver-tongue and swirling mists, she managed to capture the attention of a small group of citizens and for the first time earn a few coins of her own. At the end of her tale, some one asked for her name. Valentine decided that Embermore was an appropriate surname for herself and continued working as a story-teller.

Present Day:
Valentine wanders the various streets of Gwellian, telling tales whenever and wherever she likes, as well as occaisonally nicking a bauble or two for her collection. Valentine has added little bits of sharp metal to the end of her ribbon so it can be used as a whip to defend herself. She has heard rumors of the Blue-Blood Pirates and either wants to join or start her own guild.
She also travels to collect gossip and information in exchange for other info.

Valentine twitched her tail in amusement as several young kittens fought for a spot in the front of the audience. When everyone settled, she took a deep breath and began to speak. "A long time ago, there was a cat who could walk in dreams. He spent every night, alone, fighting against the dark forces behind nightmares." She paused and with a wave of her tail swept her listeners into an illusion, a dark realm in which a softly glowing tabby tom was fiercely locked in combat with writhing shadows. Then the image faded. "However, one night as he as engaged in battle, a second figure appeared beside him, and helped him push back the shadows. This cat was a calico she-cat, and together they once again kept dreams peaceful. But before the tom could thank her, she had vanished, like the night itself." Once again she waved her tail, and her audience was once again transported into the story. This time, the tom and the she-cat had just finished the battle, and the tom was turning to thank her. "Every night from then on, the two guarded dreams together, but the she-cat always immediately left afterwards. One night, it was a particularly easy battle. The tom saw his chance and tackled the calico, and finally thanked her for her assistance. The calico thanked him then, for breaking the curse that bound her to fight nightmares every night. However, she decided to stay with him, and together they protected the night."
She finished, and glanced at the gathered cats. "My stories are free, but I do have to eat, so I would love a tip. Feel free to do so," She purred with a grin.
