He looks a lot more like Cooler than Frieza in this form...which helps strengthen the connection that they're all related.
I also like the fact that he's in a Kirby-Crackle void. King Cold to me seems like the kind of guy who'd train all day in outer space rather than on a mere planet. After all, the universe is his playground- why shouldn't it be his weight room too?

If king cold was stronger than Freiza, least they could done was allow him transform to his 3rd final form to figh trunks. But not take 10-15 episodes to defeat him
