My side of an Art Trade withI was asked to do a scene from her adorable cartoon series, Sonic's Family Life.
Inspired by that amusing but sweet scene when Sonic started cradling a Chip plushie, I couldn't resist a funny little moment that I actually thought might pass between them in that scene, when Sally saw what he was up to...

Hehehe.. that's a neat idea to merge both game & Satam universes' together.
Psst.. Antoine cuddles with a plush Flickie at night. I'm sure that even SatAM Dr. Robotnik has a plush animal that resembles the ones that his video game counterpart would often incarcerate with those huge metal containers.

sonic looks great in this pic, Sally kind of looks more like a traditional squirrel then should though.

I was using one of Jay's own references that seemed close to the design used in her Family Life series.

No doubt that Sonic definitely has the emotional capacity for being a dad and this scene here you illustrated showcases it.
My only gripe is that Sally looks too much like a Redwall-ish anthro then how she is depicted in SatAM and other fanart, but you did a great job regardless.

Heh, heh... yup, according to Jay's series, it seems Sonic is really adapting to the idea of being a loving husband and father!
I dunno, maybe Sally is very similar to the Redwall style? I was certainly following references from Jay's gallery, so unless some of my own style crept in there somewhere... (which does seem to have come full-circle and become very Redwally these days)

^^() I hear you, Sally is one of the hardest characters (besides humans) to draw for me.. I spent years practicing and she doesn't look right. Even following her tutorials. But I'm not giving up ^^
