Link stopped an inch away from the book looking at Caldera worriedly, he had forgotten this was a test, of course; Caldera might have brought out the wrong book for him to touch, and he had to be smarter…

“…r- right….” Link smelled the book carefully without touching it, the smell of bulk berry ink was there but It wasn’t as ‘new’ as the ink Caldera showed to him…. Then he understood what to do.

“Caldera… could you please put the other books here lined up, please?”

Caldera smiled at the boy learning his lesson before it was too late to fix it… without a word he used his telekinesis once more placing the eleven books lined up next to the other one that was already there…

Link kept his prudent distance and began smelling every book; Caldera watched him with interest as the boy moved along the books back and forth sniffing carefully… eventually he stood infront of one sniffing it a lot.

“…this one’s ink is the freshest…” he said curiously “Caldera, sir… can you open the book for me?”

Cal was surprised and not feeling so sure about this, but did as the boy asked… he was supposed to watch over the kid in there after all…

Link gazed at the book’s pages for a moment, as they flipped by the telekinesis one by one; when suddenly he heard a sound from outside… his time was running out…

“That’s-?!” Link saw it in an instant, the picture of Sorbet in one page, quickly leaping in to touch it with his paw as a voice not far away said

“time’s up…”
