Description
This is a 80th anniversary piece I made for Batman. I made this to honor the Batman franchises 80 year run as Batman made his first appearance in Detective Comics #27, which was published in May 1939. Since then, Batman has spawned into movies (including the Tim Burton films and The Dark Knight trilogy), tv shows (including the 1960s tv series and Batman: The Animated Series), video games (including Batman: Arkham series and the Lego Batman series), spinoffs, amusement park rides and crossovers with other DC Comics characters. For this piece, I drew the end scene from the 1989 Batman film directed by Tim Burton as I thought it would look good for the artwork as Batman looks at the Bat-Signal projection as he stands on the rooftop.
