wow. this one speaks to me: each of the "smudges'" directions show the relationship between each square (or each family member) with the center of the swirl either being the main relationship that binds all together, or the chaos threatening to rip each of them apart. wow.

I LOVE the swirl. I've never been into using my acrylics for abstract art, but I think I might give it a shot after seeing your stuff. Nice job, congrats on your DA success!

just to clarify- none of the critique options specify that it's alright to be rude to another deviant. if you don't like my painting- that's fine- i don't expect everyone to. Instead of being rude, perhaps you could offer a suggestion to better my piece?

Wow, De, don't listen to that first comment. I know contructed criticism is nice, but not when the critic is completely wrong and off the mark! Very awesome job. The swirls are what make this painting stand out the most. The colors blen flawlessly. Your paintings are so intricate. Reminds me of a quiet town being totally annihalated by a nuclear explosion or a war of some sort. The black contrasting lines really throw the eyes around for a trip, but they always end up on the center of that turbulent swirl. Now, get yourself a better shot of this so I can

I really like this one - I think the background adds just the right atmosphere for the message of the foreground.... reaching, disconnected, conflicting directions, interference... love it.
