I've seen places like this within wishful dreams, how I would adore to be on that boat and be still to admire and contemplate the entire area, was there a breeze at all during your time there? did you get to hear some of natures music? Trees rustle as if with a mind for music.
This is a beautiful image.

Thank you. That morning was quite calm, only the sounds of the boat cutting through the water.Β  But there's plenty of tree music when it is windy though; the majority of the shoreline is protected park so the development around the lake is restricted to one end.

This was an old photo from last October; it was wasn't a really cold morning, but sitting for long hours in a little aluminum boat on the water can make even a slight chill feel 5x worse. It helps to jump out on shore every now and then to do some , to get the blood moving again.

I've had to resort to using the helpplz website [link] ? since the Firefox "Helpplz Uber" add-on doesn't seem to work anymore. It's a little more work but I'm managing

Boats are okay; you just need to travel prepared with some Gravol or Pepto Bismol

Is this a mix of photography and painting or is that the post-process effect on the trees?

No there's not any painting done on this. I desaturated the photo and then added a colour adjustment to it, to give it the blue hue. And then I probably played with the contrast a little bit, but I don't remember exactly whether it is boosted or decreased. I try to keep abbreviated notes of any adjustments I make in the filenames; this one said "sepiacolorcorrectblue" so I guess I ran a sepia filter rather than desaturating it and I may not have done any contrast adjustment. I imagine the result would turn out more or less the same regardless of which option was used. There's probably more of a hint of green left in the trees than if I had completely desaturated the colour.

I like this picture I'm guessing it's spring winter-ish time? 'cos I live in a place where it's practically summer all year round so I dunno how snow or winter in other places are like. Only seen snow once in my life...

Thank you. The time-stamp in the camera data (on the right side of this page) is correct, it was 9 am, October 25, of last year. That would be autumn/early winter in the Northern hemisphere. There was a little morning frost on the trees higher up, but I didn't capture any of that in this shot, only the atmosphere of the lake fog.

I enjoy having four distinct seasons (even though I dislike extreme heat and cold). Just when you're starting to get bored with the scenery a new season is born.
