Friday again. And this week was too busy at work,so the weekend arrived quiet fast. :3
Again some vehicle here. I think.... she got the licence few days ago. XD
I personaly disliked this tank as a kid... i think... because it has no turret.
I donΒ΄t know why, but the Hetzer is now one of my favs. XDΒ (alongside with the Tiger I )

It looks like a scary tank, that is until it becomes a vehicle in war thunder, In which case the design becomes a problem, and it becomes a laughing stock (same story with the Churchill gun carrier)

I could be wrong because I'm not up to date on German tanks. But wasn't this known as a tank killer?

yep it is. based on o chck tank and it was very cheap to build.
Was pretty effictive.

Looks almost like a scene from Girls und Panzer.Β (Yes they had a Hetzer near the end of the series)Β But the muzzle brake should be removed.Β The Hetzer never needed one.
It was based on the Czech built 38(t); one of the best pre WW2 light tanks ever built.Β So good was the reliability and running gear that after the tank became obsolete they used the chassis for various self propelled guns like the Marder and by 1944 they turned it into the Hetzer which was one of the best and most deadly Tank Destroyers of WW2.Β
With it's 76 mm gun, sloped 60 mm armour and low silhouette it was perfectΒ for defense and much cheaper to produce and fuel.Β They built over 2,500 of them and it's said that the Battlefields of France were littered with them after the War.

As a kid i wasnΒ΄t really satisfied of this tank. I think of the missing turret, but
now i like it most... cause of the missing turret XDDD
Would like to see this one in real action. At least moving. Maybe i have to check
some museum open days, where those rare stuff come out.

No i meant that its a tank destroyer not a tank it has no turret to give it a lower profile and unlike a tank it is not intended to be used in support of infantry

Seriously, I would love to see a sequel to that one where it turns out that while girls play around in tanks the boys fly around in airplanes and provide air support.Β

I watched only two episodes of it... and decided to abandon the series. XD
I can imagine, that there will be a sequel for it.
They made alot of money with the series so... XD

I think it actually got pretty good later on.Β There were all kinds of fun trivia and shout-outs littered throughout the series, to say nothing of the unusual tanks that got dug up.Β (One was literally dug up out of a swamp!)
There was an especially hilarious scene where one of the girls decides to go spy on the Americans to determine their strategy before they face off.Β (The whole thing is recorded by a camera she has hidden on herself.)Β During their briefing assembly, the Americans suddenly realize the girl isn't one of their own after she asks a few questions.Β When they demand that she identifies herself, she cries out, "6th Armored Division, Odd Ball, Sergeant Third Class!" and then she cheesed it out of there!
(In case you don't get that turn of phrase, to 'cheese it' means to run like your life depends on it. This phrase is usually reserved for when you are caught in a wrongdoing.Β Originally this was played straight, but lately it's been put to use in comedy.Β Used as a comedic trope, your life probably probably doesn't depend on you getting away, and you're probably gonna looks kinda silly for it, too.)
