Ok, some brilliant writer at my paper wrote a column outlining a solution to all of California's problems: put everyone in prison on power generating stationary bicycles!!! MY GOD!Think about it! One man pedaling on a power generating bike can generate enough energy to power a TV. Think about how much power thousands at once could generate!!! This would help solve our power shortage, which means we'll be spending MUCH less on that problem, which in turn will improve our economy, eliminating budget cuts for things like EDUCATION! In fact, schools will probably have more money than ever!
Hell, we can even pay the criminals 10 cents an hour! They pedal for 10 hours, they just made themselves a buck... IN PRISON! Some are in there for years, they keep doing that, and by the time they get out, FORGET THAT MEASILY 20 bucks the prisons give them, they'll get a cool grand (or more). Not only that, but for the people in there for blue-collar crimes, they can get breaks on their sentences! That'll get em pedaling harder. And to top it off, they'll look and feel great!
Anyhoo, here's the silly ass comic I came up with to run with the story. Enjoy!

LMAO that's a great idea! Esp. considering housing an inmate costs more than I will ever make in any one year...unless I rob a bank...then it's smooth pedaling from there LoL. Or how about get a gigantic rug and have then drag their feet w/ socks....man if I had to do thqat for more than a day (cuz you know some asshole is going to run up and shock you) I'd never want to be in prizon again! And that'd provide great electricity...or fun, imagine watching criminals running...shocking eachother....they get teamed up on...you just saved money that would have went for electrocusion (can't spell LoL)

Hell. If I was a prisoner I'd be for it. I'm still young but I would wonder how well the older prisoners would handle it. And just how long could the average person last cycling? All the work might kill someone.
Sure would beat prison rape anyday.

Nice job. Yanno, they used to make prisoners turn a crank all day just to earn food. 1,000 for breakfast, 2,000 for lunch, and 5,000 for dinner. Just turning a crank. Nothing other than mindless labor. This pic kind of reminded me of that. At least this guy's idea has some benefit, though I doubt they'll get it approved....
