And in Yao's eyes, he was pathetic. He had lost everything. Clutching himself tighter and holding a hand out to open the door, he was distracted by the voices he could hear within. Those people. His friends...no, his allies. These people...could never be called his friends.

How could you call anyone who caused that much pain friend?

Between being cut, shot, scared, and ruined...there was nothing left of Yao except that persona. That smile he put on everyday when he walked into those rooms, seeing all the other nations going on with their lives. He had to keep smiling. No one would understand anyway.

Shaking his head gently and raising a trembling hand, Yao managed to open the door and smile just as they all turned to look at him. "Ah, Ni hao! I'm sorry I'm late, aru." The conversations soon continued, and the frail man sat at the back of the room, trying to remain silent.
