Oh goodie, more of them...More character art that will be used for that dang cover artwork I'm spending far too much time on.
On a side note, that Vegeta I uploaded earlier is already my forth most favorited Deviation. This despite the fact that of all the stuff in my gallery, this is probably my least favorite drawing. (And no, not because it's Vegeta, but for purely artistic reasons. I don't like how it came out at all.) Curse that Saiyan and his inexplicable popularity!
The font I used for their names is the same I already used on Ginyu: [link]
Also I often can't decide on how to transliterate DBZ character's names. For Rikum I chose, well, Rikum over Recoome because it's more familiar to me, and I always found "Recoome" strange to read. Blame my German heritage.

This. Is. AWESOME! Those two are very interesting and VERY underappreciated characters and here they are depicted with that air of playful camaraderie that I love about the Ginyu Force! And, of course, the pic itself is gorgeous, with smooth lineart, well thought-out shading and my two favourite colors all around! Thank you SO much for drawing this!^-^
I'm totally with you on the matter of that certain Saiyan royalty. It's not him that I don't like, it's the way that he gets ALL the attention, leaving other quite worthy characters in the shadow.

Yeah, I think it's a pity they didn't get to kick some ass together. Guldo's psychic powers and Rikum's brute force would have complemented each other pretty well.
Sadly Veget isn't the only one. The same is true for ALL the other Saiyans and Half Saiyans(except Nappa and Raditz for some reason). Well, Goku and Gohan are the main heroes, so it's okay. Trunks and Bardock on the other hand... And Broly. Argh, Broly! He's the worst offender, imho.

Yup. Thing is, he's got that fanbase because he is what he is. And my problem is that I can't see what's so great about him being all powerfull. I think it's just annoying.
