Woosh!I don't know how to shade with the color yellow... or in general. Anyone have any tips?

I think the shade of yellow is perfect for this Pikmin . What made you think of the feathers for the yellow pikmin though ? I think you made it look awesome with the feathers by the way . I was just wondering .

They probably thought of the feathers because the yellow pikmin, at least in the first game, would fly very high and far when you threw them.

That's the only way I know how to shade yellow: orange, mandarin, brown, and purple. ^^ I love how it came out, and I LOVE all your Pikmin works~! <3

You can shade yellow best with grey colours, purple works, but very subtle and a little more to red, and green works, but it depends on what mood you want to create.

I think the softer shading technique you ended up with here looks great! Also, it's fine to mix colors to get different shades if that's what you were referring to by "shading with the color yellow..."

I like how you added the frills-I'm guessing they somehow act as an aid for when they're thrown to get more air. Kinda like dandelion seeds and all that.

I think it looks great! If you want tips try to do a really soft yellow for the lighting and a gray yellow or orange for the shadow. But that's just me. I think you did a spectacular job, I love the little feathers on it.

I think the shading looks really good overall. It might look smoother if you can find a way to blend the shades together more, but I think it's fine as is.
