After Cretaphus’ heroic sacrifice, Clarecles was dead set in completing what the creature had set out to do and despite his wife’s pleading for him to leave everything as it was; Clarecles was obstinate to go. Not only for her and his people, but for their child who he no longer desired to see grow up in a world controlled by fear. Before setting out Clarecles was visited by Marticas who once again proclaimed him a fool, regardless, Marticas gave Clarecles his blessings for being so and also the villages most prized possession and well kept secret, the JEWEL OF ORITHAN, an item which the high priest had long kept away from others as they regarded it as a source of unparalleled power despite its mysterious origins which the priest thought might aid Clarecles in some way. He also gave Clarecles a warning. There were individuals out there who worshipped the BEAST and his children who are far more dangerous than the Marked Ones and would see to hinder Clarecles’ journey in any way possible. With everything well in order and a few heartfelt goodbyes by both family and friends, Clarecles entrusted his families’ wellbeing to Bellphon incase he did not return and Clarecles set out on his passage to vanquish the remaining beasts and protect his homeland from their wrath.

His journey took him far and wide, farther than anyplace he had ever ventured before, far into the territory of the BEAST and smack dad into where Teumessian called home. Teumessian’s territory was steeped in high brush and grassland that laid near the edge of a deep forest that unto itself was steeped in superstition as no living creature had ever been witnessed walking out of it alive. The brush however was a place Teumessian was very comfortable to and one which Clarecles had trouble traversing. Still when Teumessian revealed himself to Clarecles, drawn to the jewel around the young man’s neck, Clarecles unsheathed his sword and openly challenged the creature.

Clarecles however was at a disadvantage against the much larger creature whose speed and mobility not only took his falocite (a species of animal domesticated on the planet for travel) from under him but also nearly killed him with each attack. Clarecles was finally able to gain the upper hand when he was able to make it inside the forest and climbed a relatively large tree while Teumissian searched for his trail. Jumping onto Teumessian’s back, Clarecles’ feverishly stabbed Teummessian multiple times, nearly severing the creature’s spine with his sword but despite being severely wounded, Teumessian managed to shrug off Clarecles and retreat towards a neighboring lagoon within the forest with Clarecles in hot pursuit.

When Clarecles was finally able to reach the three legged beast’s location, he found himself in a steep bog which he was unable to clearly see through and Teumessian no where to be found. While awaiting Teumessian’s possible ambush Clarecles made his way towards the water’s edge to clean his weapon of the creature’s blood. This however was a mistake he would live to regret, as soon as he began to pad the water’s surface, a shadowy figure made its present known and would soon show Clarecles his folly of making war with the children of the BEAST.
