Technology & Combat Characteristics
With data retrieved from more wreckage from the dimensional rifts plans for a new mobile suit from a military organization called Zaft were discovered. These plans were for the Gelgoog Guardian. The acronym for this suit was apparently going to be Global Enforcer of Logistics Gunnery and Overwatch Operations General. The mobile suit looked to be developed from the strike freedom in an attempt to simplify the Gundam for mass production hence it still carries High energy beam rifle, beam shield, Voiture Lumiere, and dragoons. For the ease of mass production, the dragoons were reduced down to four. Despite being inferior to the strike freedom the Gelgoog Guardian would have surpassed all mass-production mobile suits. The Halifax cooperation followed the schematics and produced a handful one of which was designated for their ace pilot “the butcher”. They also noted that it would have had energy issues with the voiture luminaire so they equipped the drone with the S class battery to ensure a substantially longer operation time.

The High Energy Beam Rifle’s are the same type used by the strike freedom.
EQFU-3X Super DRAGOON Mobile Weapon Wing & MA-80V Beam Assault Cannon
The EQFU-3X Super DRAGOON Mobile Weapon Wing functions similarly to the strike freedom save for the Voiture Lumiere emits a red light instead of a blue light like the strike freedom due to the simplification of the system. Each wing stores a Super DRAGOON, a wireless guided weapon pod armed with a beam assault cannon that can fire beams for range combat or emit a beam blade for close combat. While the MS version required pilots with high spatial awareness they are now an option that can be activated by the drone pilot and they will attack automatically.
MX2200 Beam Shield
Generated from the forearms' beam shield generators, the pair of beam shields can effectively block most beam and physical attacks. These are the same beam shields found on the Strike Freedom Gundam.
Special Equipment & Features

MA-M02G "Super Lacerta" Beam Saber
The drone’s main close combat weapon, stored on its back skirt. They are the same beam sabers used by infinite justice and perfect strike freedom. The two beam sabers can be combined into a twin-edged beam saber, and this form is known as 'Ambidextrous Halberd'.
High-Mobility Aerial Tactics (HiMAT) Mode
A configuration in which Gelgoog Gaurdianss 4 wings are unfolded for higher maneuverability during aerial combat. Just like the strike freedom the Gelgoog Gaurdian is based on, the wings also assist with AMBC.
" Voiture Lumiere" Propulsion System
A combat variant of the " Voiture Lumiere" propulsion system is mounted in the Strike Freedom's mobile weapon wings. Unlike the Voiture Lumiere used by GSX-401FW Stargazer Gundam, this combat variant uses an internal laser, instead of solar winds or an external power beam, and converts its energy into a strong light pressure which is then used as thrust. It can be used even when the DRAGOON Pods are still attached to the wings, by slightly separating the DRAGOONs from the main wings, without fully deploying them. The propulsion system operates at full power when all the DRAGOONs are launched. [1] When activated, the system allows the suit to accelerate at incredible rates and to quickly dodge the most intense enemy beam barrages. Like the ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam's Voiture Lumiere and Strike Freedom, the Gelgoog Guardian also produced a light effect known as the "Wings of Light". However, Strike Freedom's light effect is in the form of red wings. This color is due to the system being simplified for limited production purposes.

History

As a part of Gilbert Durandal’s “Destiny Plan”, remaining members of Faith were to all be assigned Gelgoog Guardian’s in order to ensure the plan succeeded. However, with Zaft victorious over the Earth Alliance and Logo’s this mobile suit was seen as unnecessary and was never produced. However, due to the random reality wormholes, many different technologies come in from parallel universes and a special Zaft ship with plans for the Gelgoog Guardian arrived in the Corporate Era 5. The butcher was hired to retrieve or destroy this new ship before Masters or any other criminal organization could get their hands on it. The Gelgoog Guardian was produced in a small numbers for elite pilots such as “the butcher”.

I always wondered why Zaft never produced a Gelgoog but I was recently on a reddit that pretty much explained that since Zaft essentially defeated the Earth Alliance, they never needed another powerful mass production mobile suit. I also figured since the Strike Freedom was supposed to be mass produced that the next machine they would produce would have its characteristics.
