So, my epilogue for DA awakenings was that after all this shit is over with, I go to Antiva chasing after Zevran, who apparently got cold feet and ran off and didnt come back, that fucker.Those rumors about that showdown in the Antivan capital of Di the Warden-Commander and Zevran? Totally true.
Though it was more of a one sided beat-down. I had like, 115 magic ending the game, so i totally OWNED.
Anyways, old(er) Zevran and my warden Di. Just some thoughts on a doujinshi about Di going and finding Zevran that will never, ever get drawn. I would call it "As the Crow Flies". CLEVER, EH?

Well... I got the impression that Zevran was off trying to deal with the Crows. There is a letter you are supposed to receive from him telling you that he's taking care of some unfinished business and wishes you were with him, or something to that effect. But for some reason it was missing in game. If you have the PC version, there's a mod that will put the love letters back in the game. One can assume that by the end of Awakening, Zevran simply isn't back yet and thus you go searching for him. He could be in danger.

I think if you did the ultimate sacrifice in origins and romanced Zev; it says something along the lines of he went back to Antiva and became leader/master of the Crows after killing the other leaders and/or masters. Maybe after you went to Ameranthine, that's what he went to do? Who knows, I just know when I got that epilogue in awakenings I was a sad panda *tears up*

OMG I FUCKING KNOOWWWW it was the biggest cocktease ever. I was hoping I could GO to antiva and kick his ass, damnit! In my ending for origins it said Zevran stayed with me and helped me train Grey Wardens but never went through the joining, and he didn't even make a cameo in Awakenings. FUCK, LOGHAIN made a cameo if you kept him alive, WTF. Give me my Zevran!!

Damn skippy. I would have gladly chased his butt back to Antiva and whooped him good for running off, LOL. It drives me freakin' crazy they screwed us out of well deserved Zevran time. I had the same ending as you, that Zev and the PC live happily ever rebuilding the Wardens... but then here comes Awakening and all of a sudden Zevran decides to up and leave and we don't even ever find out why and all we get is a blueballing epilogue!? AGH!
*cry* And even LOGHAIN MAKES A CAMEO? WTFFFF. (From what I understand, Leliana and Morrigan fans get the shaft as well. I think the only romance that gets a decent appearance is Alistair; who is pretty and all, but he's no Zev.)
They'd better make this up to us in DA2, I'm just sayin'. XD

I figure he freaked out- got cold feet, got into an arguement for no reason, ran off. Later he felt bad and regretted it, but he already left/ran off and his pride kept him from turning around and crawling back, so he just sucked it up and went off.
At least that's how I see it (and how I would illustrate it in my never-to-be doujinshi lol).
I KNOW WTF. I'm kind of sad I killed Loghain because I would have liked to see his cameo! Someone posted it up on youtube, but it's in french and.. I'm not very good at french.

I believe your idea fits perfectly with Zevran's personality; plus with what we're shown of his romance antics in the game (like that cute angsty part where he refuses to make booty with you), it makes sense that his own fears and later his pride would keep him on the run. š: 0 ā©: 1
Never-to-be-doujinshi, eh? XD Just so you know, Zevran is my favorite character to write so you might end up with a cracked out douji script in your note box to further bother you to get on it!
I'm resisting the urge to kill Loghain in at least ONE of my playthroughs so I can see his cameo. If I ever do, I'll have a mind to write it down. I couldn't find it anywhere, much less just a written version, and I would have to say I'm equally terrible at French. I can fake my way through some terribad German, but that's about it.
Hahah, I thought so too! Zevran's little angsty part was hilarious. I refused the ring at first saying I would only take if it meant something,and he got really pissy. "You pick up every other little trinket on the road why won't you take this?! Fine, you don't want the earring, you don't get it!" And he walked away all angry. XDDDD It was cute. Later he offers it again apologizing for being an asshole, but still.
I WANT to draw it SO BADLY, but I really just don't have the time. At all. XD I wish I did. But.. really. I don't. maybe in the future! I started sketching it out, maybe I'll doodle some more in my sketchbook at work XD

Zevran is probably my favorite romanceable character if only for the fact he's the most difficult. I adored the bit with the earring, it's made of many squees. I always end up pairing him with a male, I think he just fits better with a dude. Or it could be I'm a total perv. One of those two.
I definitely understand the lack of time. I'm not sure where I fit in so much Dragon Age between class and work and all the other insanity of real life. Here's hoping you find the time, I'll look forward to seeing it if you ever do!
I'm trying to make my 'main' playthrough characters have unique epilogues to see everything that's possible in Awakening. I'm going to do exactly what you suggested: replay my male noble right before the Landsmeet, marry Anora (with Zevran on the side, of course) and spare Loghain, just to see what happens!

I found their handling of most of the romances at the end of Awakening to be pretty screwed up, really. Especially if Alistair's king and the PC is his mistress.

It was something to the effect of spending the rest of their years (before vanishing) serving the Wardens with Alistair at her side. There were still assorted rumors, some of which insisted the Warden didn't remain long at court, which really seems to defeat the purpose of Alistair being king. It makes it sound like he just played dress-up as the king for a while before saying, 'Screw this, I'm going back to the Wardens.'

Did you harden him in the original game? I could see him running off after a while if he wasn't 'hardened'. Since he really didnt want to be king in the first place. My ending said nothign about Alistair at all.

Yeah. It was mildly OOC for that PC, really. But still, they could've added a bit. So it didn't sound like he just woke up, said 'Screw ruling this place,' and vanished without ever marrying and leaving an heir to prevent yet another civil war.
I'd have also liked a bit more about my Origins companions in general, although the inconsistencies there were a bit understandable.After all, I did load a PC that had done the whole self sacrifice bit at the end. And then magically came back from the dead, because she was the only mage I had.

Yeah, and some people had killed off said PC's too- like you could kill off pretty much everyone. XD But i was hoping at LEAST the romance options would come back.
We can hope- next expansion is in February 2011! Or so i heard. XD
