+++Full view please.+++deviantART is sprouting with pirate/ship/sea works of art because of PoC: AWE, and I figured I'd throw myself into the ring with this.

Wow! This reminds me so much --and strangely coincidentally-- of the novel "Ghost Ship". I read that about four years ago, and I swear--that's something of what the cover of the book looked like!
I love it. I like the idea of a ship in the sand. Kinda like running aground--it produces an eerie feeling along with the coloring.

AWESOME! i love the really tiny details, which makes this even better for me! ( i like to search for the smallest details ) the water kinda looks like sand tough, but the moon(?) looks AWESOME! *faves*

how didja do it? like i see you got the images from places, but how did you put them into one? haha forgive me...im kinda new at this.

I used a program that deals with images and digital design called PhotoStudio--a more simple program, but it still gets the job done. I chose each image and cropped them, edited the lighting, the shades, the contrast, and used other digital enhancements to create this.
I'm not sure if that was much help; photo manipulation just requires practice and experience, and trying out new things and new programs (Photoshop, for instance). If you need more help on it, search for tutorials here on dA, there's bound to be plenty of instruction guides for you to find.

why thank you...i use photoshop but never can get them looking as cool as i like them...usually i just draw them and scan them onto the computer. lol
