lol. i will explain... he is half ghost... there was an accident, his family and friends all died, he went to live with his half ghost nemesis and was so depressed he wanted to stop the pain so he asked vlad (the half ghost nemesis) to use some technology his dad had invented to seperate him from his human half which was the half that felt pain... and thats what he wanted from vlad

ok, so now is later
If i could just send you the show's intro it would be easier, but i cant so i will just recite the song. Its kindof a rap thing
"yo danny fenton he was just fourteen, when his parents built a very, strange machine, it was designed to view a world unseen (ghost zone )
When it didnt work his folks they just quite, but then danny took a look inside of it (wearing a hazmat suit which changed colours and became his phantom suit)
There was a great big flash, everything just changed, danny's molecules got all re-arranged,
When he first woke up he realised, he had snow white hair, and glowing green eyes, he could walk through walls, dissapear and fly, he was much more unique than the other guys, but it was then danny knew what he had to do, he had to syop all the ghosts that were coming through, he's here to fight, for me and you! hes gonna catch em all cause hes Danny Phantom!!!!

I saw pieces of the show... the episode where Sam turned into that ghost dragon thing...
And I was wondering how if the enterance to the 'ghost zone' was in his basement his parents never noticed, but they really just didn't know it worked, right?
