Found some old art. Decided to upload it because... even though it's not as good as I am now, it's not as bad as I thought it was then, so forgive me my self-esteem therapy.

So, this is from around 2006. The female on the left is Chandara, the male on the right is her brother. I have no recollection of his name.

At the time, I wanted to draw horses because I hadn't for awhile. But that was too simple... so why not make them centaurs? Then I decided I needed to practice having a horse rear up, because that was not easy for me. Then I decided I needed to have her with a bow, because I couldn't draw bows for shite. Finally, why not have her turning back to shoot, because I couldn't really do that either. I'd love to say this isn't common, but it's kind of how I work with things. It's also why I can't really do "Draw this again" challenges.

My best friends now know when they hear my frustration while drawing I'm in my happy(?) place. I'm pushing what I know how to do to see if I can do it better. And probably making it harder on myself then it need be, but hey, why not?

Anybody else do this to themselves?
